The Garden Tomb is located near Gordon’s Calvary. The obvious skull shaped rock that lures over the East Jerusalem Bus Station, that was once a part of Mt. Moriah and is outside the city walls, can be viewed from the Garden Tomb. Within the Garden, there is an ancient wine press and a large cistern as well as a tomb with two distinctive chambers.
The garden is a peaceful respite from the hustle bustle of the city, and a perfect place to relax, worship and reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus. “Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulcher, wherein was never a man laid.
